  • there is a wide range of things to do. If you refuse to get voice lessons.
Sing the music loud and play it loud. Always keep singing from the lungs don't use your vocals cords all the time or you will end up like Erin Lewis and need vocal cord surgery for vocal cord abuse.

When singing always practice songs that challenge and you have trouble with singing. And keep singing them till you perfect it. What I mean by challenge is not songs that are what your singing style is. But different singing styles to provide you with a diverse voice which can sing more than just one style.

Sing clean more so than scream or yell. It will hurt your vocal cords.
When before or after songs gargle some salt water to clear the passages in your mouth to provide the right sound.

If you want to emulate a voice of screaming more air more loudness from the lungs.

Learn how to sing from the belly to the lungs and nose so you can do all the scales of musc.

Best of all is practice practice practice. Best of luck buddy.

  • A great question with an easy answer:

Buy or borrow a voice recorder (with those little tapes)

Choose a poem or article and read it our loud into the recorder.

Be your own strict critic asking

    Did the voice sound inviting?
Was is a soft compelling voice or raspy or nasal?
If you were a stranger would you like to hear more of this voice?
Would you like that voice to read to you before bedtime?
Was the voice articulate (was each word clearly pronounced) ?

If you think no to any of these questions then you need to practice making your voice "sympathetic, kindly, expressive and convincing"

So you see improving your voice is sort of like "acting in a play"isn't it.?

Repeat this exercise until that voice sounds like Ronald Coleman in Lost Horizons (his was judged to be the nicest voice ever heard) or any other voice you enjoy hearing on TV.

If you keep at this your voice will improve. Of course you may have to ask someone you trust to help you (not your mom who thinks your voice is perfect even if it isn't).

    Hope this helps.

  • i guess it depends on what type of voice u have and if u can sing
first is really complicated to learn if u cant sing, it tkes years of learning, so most ppl are acutally natural born singers
