Sabina Spielrein, the person with whom Jung reportedly had the affair
supposedly consulted another analyst, Sigmund Freud, and confided in
his about the unscrupulously unethical relationship. Several books

I found no references to Freud having has a relationship with a patient, but?
?Sigmund Freud noted that many of his female patients fell in love
with him. He called it transference. What was happening, he said, was
that they were casting him as somebody in their past life, projecting
on to him the feelings of love and desire that they had experienced
for other men.?

It is also said that Freud counseled and encouraged a fellow analyst
named Horace Frink who was also one of his clients to divorce his wife
so he could marry one of his own patients.
Otto Rank reportedly had an affair with a patient according to some
sources, and Karen Horney was said to have had affairs with some of
her professional contemporaries.

That leaves Wilhelm Reich. Well, as it turns out, John-Michael
Battaglia?s book, THE WILHELM REICH STORY, tells us that ?Willy? was
yet another historic psychoanalyst who lost his head for a one of his
patients:
?As part of his training, he analyzes patients with psychological
problems. During the course of treating one pretty, well-built,
eighteen-year-old patient (Annie Pink), Willy falls in love with her.
Following the completion of her therapy, they court each other,
timidly at first, then with unrestrained passion. Late one night,
Annie's parents catch Willy and her making love in her room. They
confront Willy and force him to marry her. Although they have no
immediate plans to marry, the young lovers happily oblige. During the
summer of 1922, they set up house in a rented apartment in Vienna,
just as Willy graduates as a doctor of medicine.?
